I still get giddy every time I look at the photos from this Dreamy Hot Cocoa Stand Party. Between the setting on a Christmas Tree Farm, a cocoa stand filled with sweet treats and a bed set amongst the trees just for kids to jump on, it was a truly a memorable day. Since the natural setting on the farm was so pretty, I didn’t see a reason to compete with overpowering colors or patterns, so I stuck with a simple evergreen and mint color pallet with hints of metallic.I transformed a lemonade stand into a hot cocoa stand by attaching a laser cut calligraphy “hot cocoa” sign. I served treats easy for little hands to grab, including a powdered munchkin donuts, gourmet vanilla bean marshmallows, buttercream Christmas tree cookies and all of the fixing to accompany the hot cocoa. I decorated some of the natural trees around the cocoa stand with homemade marshmallow garlands, metallic bows and simple snowflake ornaments. Another one of my favorite elements was a magnolia leaf garland for the front of the cocoa stand. Although this sort of garland is not traditionally associated with the holidays, I thought it effortlessly fit in with the rest of the surroundings. What a fun experience it was to host a hot cocoa party on a Christmas tree farm. The children had so much fun exploring the grounds, jumping on the bed and trying all of the sweet treats. Already looking forward to continuing this children’s Christmas party tradition next year!
