Fall entertaining is simply the best. This season brings along crisp air, changing leaves, and reasons to gather together with friends and family. In today’s post, I am sharing a textured fall tablescape that could easily lend itself to any sort of fall dinner party or friendsgiving gathering. The color pallet was inspired by my favorite color of the moment, mustard yellow. I never thought this pink-loving girl would find myself so enthralled with the color yellow, but I had so much fun styling this tablescape with a fun twist on a traditional fall color palette.
When planning this party, I started with a textured gray and mustard throw blanket as my jumping off point for inspiration. I knew I wanted some accent pieces in the solid mustard color, so I sourced hemstitch napkins from Kirklands, taper candles from World Market and the most beautiful vintage amber goblets from Borrow Curated Furniture and Design. I also thought that baskets of bosco pears would work well with the color palette, and were an inexpensive way to add another seasonal detail to the table.
The place settings included a rattan charger, topped with a classic white plate and finished with an individual grazing board. Grazing boards are continuing to explode with popularity in the entertaining world, and I thought this would be a fun way to let guests nibble on seasonal charcuterie before the meal was served.
The mini grazing boards included triple cream brie, salami, candied walnuts, wheat crackers, fig jam, champagne grapes and dried apricot. The flavors of the items complimented each other well, and pulled in flavors of the fall season.
I turned to my favorite florist, Ashley’s Floral, to put together the most gorgeous cream, beige and mustard floral arrangement. I love that it brightened up the tablescape, yet still kept with the fall vibe of the other details. I mixed the fresh floral centerpiece with a few bud vases of dried wheat to add another fall texture to the table.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my textured fall tablescape. I hope you are inspired to put your own twist on fall entertaining decor that isn’t necessarily over-the-top or obvious, but still lends itself to the season!
