This party is all about celebrating health, wellness and friendship. Leading a healthy and active lifestyle is a personal choice and one that takes ongoing commitment. I think it is so important as women to encourage and support one another to be the best and healthiest version of ourselves.
As my social platform has grown larger over the years, I constantly think about how I can use this space to talk about the things that I am passionate about that could potentially inspire others, so today, I couldn’t be more proud to share this Girl Power Health and Wellness Party that would work well for a milestone birthday, low-key bachelorette party, moms’ night in or really just because.
The idea behind the party was to gather together a group of women in different walks of life (ages ranging from 20s to 50s) to partake in a 20 minute workout, followed by healthy bites and champagne, while enjoying each other’s company and taking time to share more about our individual health journeys and what works best for each of us.
When I first started to plan the party, I knew immediately that Market Square in Crocker Park would be the perfect venue. The large amount of space, natural light and industrial interior made for the perfect backdrop to the event. I also tapped into the creative forces at Brittany Gidley Photography and The Digital Team Ohio, who I knew would help me capture the details of the party perfectly!
Next, I reached out to Nicole DeAnna, a certified personal trainer in Avon, OH, to provide private instruction for a fun, yet challenging workout. Nicole’s knowledge and dedication to fitness is so incredibly inspiring and I can’t think of anyone else who would have been a better fit to lead the workout for this event. Nicole prepared an up-beat 20 minute bodyweight style workout which allowed us to work up a sweat and challenge ourselves with a variety of moves, such as planks, lunges and more.
I styled the workout area with pink yoga mats and a favor gift basket for each the women attending the party. I am obsessed with the retro tote bags from Sun Jellies, which I used to hold a variety of fitness items, such as water, a small sweat towel, hair accessories from Hair by Mackenzie, hand sanitizer, and a DIY Lavender Face Mist Spray made with Young Living essential oils. Everyone also received a custom “Believe in Yourself” muscle tank by Emily Roggenburk to change into before the workout (you can buy your own here)!
We capped off our workout by enjoying a post-workout recovery smoothie by Lauren of Healthy Mom Project. The smoothies were served in 4 oz shooter glasses, and were refreshing, nutritious and just the right amount of sweetness that apparently came from beets (who knew beets were so good?!) In fact, the smoothie was so good that I asked Lauren if she would be willing to share the recipe in an upcoming blog post (stay tuned)!
The ladies then moved over to the dining area where I really had fun with the details of the party. I have always longed to style a low bohemian tablescape, and Borrow Rentals helped to make my dreams come true now that their farmhouse tables are available for rent with coffee table height legs. I paired the table with velvet oversized floor pillows from Target, which gave the tablescape a relaxed, yet polished look.
I styled the tablescape with an array of mauve, dusty rose and blush details. I sourced hand dyed gauze table linens from Etsy and then added in blush dinner plates and mauve accent plates from World Market to tie in the color pallet. I used my favorite gold and white flatware from Amazon and classic champagne glasses and low water tumblers to finish off each place setting.
But what really brought this tablescape to life was all of the little details! Ashley’s Floral created a lush organic dusty rose and greenery arrangement and a variety of bud vases that were spread down the center of the table. I also worked with Brenna Claire Calligraphy who hand-lettered mini frames with inspirational quotes to display on the table, as well as name cards for each place setting.
In keeping with the health and wellness theme of the party, my goal was to come up with a menu that was fresh, healthy and delicious. I also wanted to serve items that could be prepared ahead of time, and easily transferred to the event space the day of the party, which is how I decided on Mediterranean-style appetizers, salads and finger foods.
With all ingredients sourced from Heinen’s Grocery Store, I made two charcuterie boards filled with hummus, fresh veggies and mini pita bread dippers. I also made a romaine salad and purchased a Greek pasta salad from Heinen’s Salads We Love bar. Casey of Teaspoon of Sparkle also made her signature Layered Greek Dip, which was the perfect addition to the Mediterranean food spread. Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing these recipes plus tips for entertaining with a healthy menu in an upcoming post!
Another addition to the tablescape was a variety of infused waters served in glass carafes to encourage the ladies to hydrate after the workout. The waters were a simple, yet impactful detail that added a pop of color to the table. The infused water combinations included: raspberry and mint, cucumber and lemon, grapefruit and rosemary and orange blueberry.
As much as I loved hydrating with water, is it really a party if there isn’t champagne? One of my favorite vignettes to style for this party was the champagne bar, which I styled on a DIY table created with spray painted milk crates and a wood top. The centerpiece of the bar was the new One Stylish Party Tabletop Acrylic Champagne Wall, which allows you to vertically display eight champagne glasses that gives the appearance as though the glasses are floating!
On either side of the champagne wall, I made sure to include plenty of my favorite ONEHOPE sparkling wines. I chose to serve the Gold and Silver Shimmer Editions of the ONEHOPE California Sparkling Wines, which looked absolutely gorgeous on either side of the champagne wall, and really popped against the muted dusty rose and blush floral arrangements. I also wanted another wine option for guests to choose from, so I also offered the Vintner Collection California Sparkling Rosé by ONEHOPE. What I love most about these three wines from ONEHOPE is that each bottle purchased supports a children’s charity to help fund meals for children in need.
I decided to put a twist on mixers for the sparkling wine, and offered frozen cubes of freshly squeezed juices to drop into the glasses to create a mimosa if desired. I love how the cubes added a pop of color to the champagne glasses and gave just a hint of flavor to the sparkling wine.
To complete the look of the champagne bar, I displayed a hand-lettered sign by Brenna Claire Calligraphy that read “Will Sweat for Champagne”, along with a potted plant from Target, a fresh floral arrangement by Ashley’s Floral, a mini textured buttercream cake by Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes and a rattan divider that displayed a dusty pink and mauve balloon garland by One Stylish Party.
While the details of the party came together beautifully, what really made the event so memorable was spending time with an inspiring group of ladies (including my momma!) that came together to encourage and support one another with a common goal of health and wellness. After the workout, we each shared a tip or motto that we follow to maintain a healthy lifestyle. From balance, to consistency or even something as simple as changing up your workout routine so you don’t get bored with it, I felt like I walked away with inspiring advice and a renewed motivation to be the best and healthiest version of myself. I am looking forward to sharing more of the tips from the women at the party in a later blog post, so stay tuned!
I hope you enjoyed this post today and are inspired to have fun with your workouts, get creative with healthy dishes when entertaining and look to your friends for support to maintain a healthy lifestyle!

I recently turned 35, which brought about some personal reflection on the things in my life I am most grateful for. While the top of my list is my husband and our two children, one of the next things on my list is my health, which allows me to enjoy my family and friends and live my life to the fullest. Although not all aspects of your health can be controlled, I do believe that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a personal choice and is something that I have always placed a priority on so I can give myself the best chance at living a long life to see my children grow old.
