There’s no place like home for the holidays. I simply love hosting gatherings at home during the holiday season. Whether it is a family gathering, or a potluck party with friends, I like to put thought into making sure our home feels warm, festive and inviting. Today I’ve partnered with Vanilla Gift to share a simple holiday tablescape that is easy to re-create with a few small styling touches.
When styling a tablescape at home, I like to start with the basics, which is all white dinnerware and classic flatware. Based on the look I am trying to achieve, I layer in other pieces to personalize the tablescape. In this design, I used galvanized metal chargers, holiday themed dessert plates, white tartan napkins and gold rim coupe glasses to add texture and detail to each place setting.
My holiday tablescape also features a matching white tartan table runner, layered with a simple DIY greenery garland made with greenery sourced from my local grocery store. I also picked up a small bunch of spray roses that I trimmed and laid on top of the greenery to add a pop of red to the centerpiece. I finished the look of the centerpiece with some taper candles and votives, which always add warmth to any table.
I love having a signature drink at the parties I host, and decided to keep this one kid-friendly by serving a Sparkling Cranberry Spritzer, which is made with club soda, cranberry juice, fresh cranberries and a rosemary garnish. I love that the drink is simple to make, yet looks impressive and guests both young and old, enjoy it!
The holiday season is such a busy time of year, so I make a point to keep some hostess gifts on hand in case we are invited to a gathering at the last minute. Vanilla Gift makes gifting easy and fun with so many playful card designs, you can give a gift that’s sure to make someone smile. When gifting a Vanilla Gift Card, I like to come up with creative packaging, such as clipping it to a small poinsettia or slipping it inside of a mini stocking.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my holiday tablescape and holiday hostess gift ideas. Thank you Vanilla Gift for sponsoring this post!
