The holiday season is simply one of my most favorite times of the year! While I may not be a huge fan of the snow since moving up north, I do enjoy the traditions and gatherings that are synonymous with this time of year. I decided to plan Christmas party playdate for a group of 6 children that evoked the magic of the holiday season. Sweetwater Caravan, an adorable upcycled 1969 scotty camper, set the scene for the party in the middle of a woodsy private property. While the camper is regularly spotted serving up cocktails and local brews at weddings and events in Cleveland, on this day, the camper was giving out cookies, donuts and holiday cheer. In keeping with the rustic feel of the camper, I sourced antique props and accented the camper with a lush fresh greenery garland. I incorporated the buffalo plaid trend that seems to be so huge this year and styled the desserts with a mixture of metal and wooden cake stands, bottlebrush Christmas trees and reindeer accents. One of my very favorite details had to be the hand lettered sign with the quote by Louis Armstrong, “And I think to myself what a wonderful world. The children started off the playdate by gathering around a play campfire, followed by a snowball fight and snapping a few pictures in front of the camper. Of course the highlight of the day was getting to choose from an array of sweet treats including reindeer cookies, gourmet donuts, s’mores favors and milk. The party ended with a surprise visit from a deer in the distance who just wanted to see what was going on! What a wonderful morning it was to experience the joy of Christmas through the eyes of 6 small children.Vendor Credits: Photographer: Brittany Gidley Photography | Event Concept + Styling: One Stylish Party | Christmas Cards, Personalized Pillows: Shutterfly | Caravan: Sweet Water Caravan | Florals: HeatherLily, Inc | Hand Lettered Sign + Mugs: Seaworthi | Wood Slab Cake Stands: Koyal Wholesale | Cookies: Tiffany Dziak | Rentals: Borrow Rentals | S’mores Favors: Give Gifted | Girl’s Dresses: Rainey’s Closet | Boy’s Outfits: Children’s Place | Donuts: Peace Love and Little Donuts | Play Campfire: Land of Nod.
