It’s officially rosé season, which means it is the perfect time to host an alfresco dinner party! We teamed up with Black Twine, a platform for the modern party host that produces step-by-step party blueprints, and Whispering Angel, to create this rosé soiree, packed with lots of summer party inspiration. The inspiration for the party theme and décor was drawn from the beautiful hue of the Whispering Angel Rosé wine I planned to serve. Once the blush, coral and pink tones were decided on, my next focus was to come up with a creative conversation piece for the party. Since every good wine deserves to be accompanied by delicious food, I decided to create a 6 ft grazing board filled with all an array of food that would pair well with the rosé wine. With the food and wine taking center stage for this party, the other décor details were focused on creating a fun, casual vibe for the party. I knew I wanted to create a unique bar area to serve the wine at the party, so I decided to build a DIY milk crate bar! The bar was constructed with 9 stacked milk crates that were transformed with pink and rose gold spray paint. I sourced a custom butcher block top for the top of the milk crates that was accented with an ethereal soft pink chiffon table runner, a funky bar sign, vintage pink wine glasses, a dipped donut tower by Itty Bitty Bakeshop and a compote vase filled with fresh florals. As a backdrop for the bar, I used a free standing wooden arch to display fresh florals from Ashley’s Floral, a colorful One Stylish Party DIY Balloon Garland and a fun laser cut sign by Seaworthi that read “Rose All Day”. Alongside the bar, I decided to incorporate a jumbo jenga game that I personalized with pink, coral and rose gold paint. The game was a fun ice breaker and provided plenty of laughs throughout the evening! For the dining table, I layered a coral chiffon table runner by Party Crush Studio under the custom grazing board with fresh olive branch leaves peeking out from the bottom. The food on the board was so beautiful that the table didn’t need much other décor. Each place setting included a gold rimmed wine glass, a water goblet, vintage gold flatware and coral and peach dining plates topped with a wine glass cookie favor and greenery. Would you believe that all of the food on this grazing board cost $120? With the help of Casey from Many Makings, we created this charcuterie board with a mix of meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, salty crackers and other accompaniments. The best part about creating a grazing board table centerpiece is that it doubles as décor and feeds a large crowd! There is also no cooking involved and it keeps you out of the kitchen during the party, allowing more time to spend with your guests. I love how the details came together for this party! It was such a fun evening spent enjoying delicious food, chilled rose, lawn games and laughter with a group of ladies that I absolutely adore!
