Well it’s that time of year again. We’re getting ready for our week long family vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina! Our vacation to the Outer Banks last June was the last trip we took together as a family before my husband became sick, and now here we are a year later, and this will be our first vacation as a family since he has gotten better.
Kinda crazy to think that a year ago we had absolutely no idea what was headed our way. And now that we’ve made it out on the other side, it feels like we need this vacation more than ever! I’m looking forward to the quality time together as a family and having absolutely no where to be or schedules to follow (oh and not cooking and cleaning every day is a major plus too!)
Last year in preparation of our trip, I put together this post including a round-up of kid-friendly summer inspired recipes. Well this time around, I wanted to create a post highlighting refreshing and easy summer cocktail recipes.
When I think of vacation, there is simply nothing better than sipping an icy cocktail in the sunshine with the sound of the ocean lapping in the background. Since we won’t have the luxury of beach side wait service, I decided to research some drink recipes of my own that I plan to test out during our week away.
