Well friends, Mother’s Day is just a little over a month away. If you are thinking about hosting a Mother’s Day soiree, keep reading because I am sharing a ton of brunch menu ideas, complete with recipes, shortcuts and tips for presentation.
While I typically spend Mother’s Day with my immediate family (and try to steer clear of cooking that day!), last year I decided to host a brunch for a group of moms a few weeks prior to the holiday. It was such a fun way to celebrate motherhood and friendship, and it was also a reason to get dressed up, eat delicious food and sip on mimosas. You can see the full party post here.
When I developed the party menu, I made sure to include a mix of homemade items and store bought items, which definitely cut down on the prep time. Even with a few shortcut items, the brunch spread still looked every bit as impressive since I focused on on presentation. See below for the full menu!
ASPARAGUS QUICHE
Recipe via The Creative BiteFirst up on the menu is a savory Asparagus Quiche. This dish was such a hit and there wasn’t one crumb leftover once the party was over. Although it does take some prep work to get the crust and consistency of the quiche just right, it definitely tastes better than anything store bought I’ve ever had so it was worth doing it homemade.
FRUIT PIZZAFruit Pizza is such a light and fresh addition to any brunch menu. I didn’t use a specific recipe, instead I used my favorite sugar cookie dough recipe for the crust, combined with my favorite cream cheese icing recipe (similar to this). I simply pressed the cookie dough into a pizza pan and cooked at 350 degrees for approximately 15 minutes until slightly golden. Then, I topped it with the cream cheese icing and topped and fresh sliced fruit. I usually use whatever is in season, but on this particular fruit pizza I included strawberries, blueberries and kiwi.
STRAWBERRY PARMESAN SALAD
Recipe via Trisha Yearwood This is my favorite salad recipe EVER. The flavors come together so nicely with the addition of fresh strawberries and a homemade crunch topping. I promise, you will want to include this dish at your next brunch or summer barbeque!
YOGURT PARFAITSThe yogurt parfaits were a simple addition to the brunch menu. I layered vanilla yogurt with store bought granola and topped with fresh raspberries in single serving glasses. This took 5-10 minutes to prep and guests loved the individual serving sizes.
FRUIT SALADYou can either buy a fruit salad or cut up whatever fruit you have in the house to throw in a bowl. It is a refreshing addition to any brunch menu.
MINI PANKCAKES This was another shortcut item added to the brunch menu. I simply layered eggo mini pancakes and skewered with a lollipop stick. I sprinkled with some powdered sugar and topped with fresh berries. I swear your guests will never know just how easy this is to create!
CHICKEN SALAD CROISSANTS I wanted to serve another savory item with some substance, so I decided to include chicken salad with fresh croissants. Both of these items were store bought from Costco! I just switched the chicken salad into my own bowl and displayed the croissants on a cake pedestal.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my Mother’s Day Brunch Menu ideas! You can definitely pick and choose which items to include, but hopefully it helps you realize that a beautiful brunch doesn’t have to be a ton of work! Is there a dish you like to serve when hosting brunch? Let me know in the comments below!

This looks so good, I love the place cards and color scheme. (Pink is definitely my favorite color) Definitely a good call adding croissants to the menu, love them!
