Hosted in collaboration with Brittany Gidley Photography and Black Twine, this Girly Fiesta Playdate for a group of 5 year old besites was a fun take on a children’s Cinco de Mayo party theme. By using an unexpected color pallet of white with pops of mint green and pink, the party took on a modern, girly vibe.
The play table was set with mint striped plates, layered with blush pink plates, accented with a gold cactus tumblers, mint dipped wooden cutlery and cactus napkins. I also added lush pink floral arrangements and potted cacti to the table to tie in the fiesta theme. The backdrop of the party was created with two authentic white papel picado banners, which were such a simple and inexpensive way to transform the space.
When the girls arrived, they could each choose from a white dress rental to wear for the party. Once they were changed, they grabbed some maracas, danced to an age-appropriate themed music play list and even got to toss some confetti together.
After working up an appetite, the girls enjoyed simple snacks and ended the playdate with a hand-painted vanilla buttercream cake and themed sugar cookies. What a fun way to spend the day with four energetic and adorable little girls!
