I’m so excited to share this Cotton Candy Dream Party with you all! I have always loved a cotton candy party theme (who says cake always has to be the star of the show!), and was thrilled when Brittany Gidley Photography asked me to style this sweet soiree for her clients.
For this party, I decided to style a candy buffet as the focal point of the party. This was my first time using the Tabletop Acrylic Champagne Wall for something other than wine glasses, and I absolutely loved how the cotton candy cones made such a visual impact displayed vertically as if they were floating. On either side of the cotton candy wall, I served salt water taffy in a variety of flavors, such as cotton candy, bubble gum and berry.
To tie in the cotton candy theme, I decorated the front of the candy buffet with an ultra-pastel balloon garland featuring pale aqua, lilac and light pink balloons. I also added in some iridescent tinsel to give the balloon garland a little sparkle.
To the side of the candy buffet, Emily, of Art of Sucre, used the cutest pink cart to whip up fresh batches of cotton candy to serve to the guests. She even let the girls make their own cotton candy cones too, which was so fun (and just a little messy!)
The girls enjoyed snacking on the sweet treats, dancing to tunes from Taylor Swift, tossing confetti and playing with bubbles and balloons too! I hope this inspires you to think beyond cake when deciding what dessert to serve at your next party!
