While people are quick to order Pumpkin Spice Lattes and break out fall sweaters, we thought it was only fair to say one final adieu to summer. We celebrated with our favorite summer hues and flavors – oh and lots of wine. We rang in the last sunset-lit moments of summer with a sparkler toast and welcomed in the quickly approaching fall. This last summer soiree captured all of summer’s favorite things – sunset soaked colors, bottomless glasses of wine, plates for sharing and backyard patios filled with friends. Summer sunsets inspired the party’s aesthetic. Lush greenery overflowing with pink and yellow peonies served as the table’s focal point. The abundant floral arrangement rested on a vintage crochet table cover. The backyard patio was brought to life by bright garden chairs and gold peacock chairs accented with customer watercolor pillows. A vintage gold rattan bar cart doubled as a serving station for desserts. Indulgent treats included a watercolor buttercream white raspberry cake, hand painted vanilla bean macarons and watercolor sugar cooks that appropriately spelled out “cheers.” A wine tasting station allowed guests to refill their glasses with their favorite wines from the tasting. I created custom watercolor wine labels and accented the wine tasting table with a DIY balloon garland with fresh florals tucked between balloons. The flow of these three areas allowed guests to wander around the patio at their own leisure. The party’s pallette echoed our favorite tastes of summer. I added a pops of color to my summer staples by adding a coral edge to my appetizer board and hand painting basic linen napkins. The gold flatware and watercolor cookie place cards brought the look together. The featured wines perfectly paired with the appetizers served: watermelon feta arugula salad, wine-soaked berry crostini, lemon ricotta flatbread and a cheese, walnut and cracker selection. It wouldn’t be summer without a quick summer rain. As the final dish was placed on the table and the last candle lit, a looming cloud passed overhead and rain POURED down. While a few cookies may have been lost in the shuffle (and an extra bottle of wine emptied while waiting for the rain to pass!), it definitely made for a memorable end to summer! Well, summer, thanks for all the poolside days and patio nights, we’ll miss you!
Thank you to Inspired By This for originally sharing the wine tasting party.

What a fun party idea. Yu mentioned the canvas print (of the variety of wines shaped in a wine glass) was from Shutterfly. I can’t find it. Was it a custom design upload and if so may I purchase it and have one made?

Hello! I purchased the wine printable art on Etsy from Rebel Lettering: https://www.etsy.com/shop/RebelLettering. And then had it printed on a Shutterfly canvas. Hope that helps!
